DAMIEN IN THE STATES

Well after much nail biting anticipation Damien managed to get his visa to go to the States this month. He was invited to attend a seminar with his company in Orlando Florida. Whilst I was excited for his first trip to the land of milk and honey the thought of watching both kids full time was quite daunting.

Damien went off on Friday evening and Dominic was really upset to see him go. That was until we told him that daddy might go to Disneyland and pick up something special for him. Damien also told Dominic that as he wouldn't be around for a while Dominic's new role was to be Daddy. That meant extra hugs and kisses for mom and sleeping in mom and dad's bed. Dominic took his new role VERY seriously. Sometimes to the point of trying to discipline his poor younger brother Nathan. Although it was tiring and I have to say I have a great admiration for single mom's, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and the boys were very good. I was shattered by Tuesday evening though. The combination of being pregnant added to the fatigue I'm sure.

Damien had a fabulous time! Got to go to Universal studio's and came home raving about the rides and the food. He did get quite a bit out of the seminar and felt it was a worthwhile trip albeit rushed. Needless to say I was VERY VERY happy to see him back home on Wednesday. He was sorely missed and even Jock the puppy was extremely excited to see him home.

JUST JOINED THE 30'S CLUB

Well on the 17th January 2007 I officially turned 30. I can't believe I've reached it after dreading it for so long. I have decided that I'll wait until I've had the baby, lost the weight and got a bit of sun before I put a picture up on the site of what I look like in my 30th year! I was thoroughly spoiled. Damien got me a keyboard (I've wanted one for ages) so now I can teach myself how to play again. Dominic and Nathan each made me special cards and showered me with kisses. My parents gave me a very lovely and generous gift of money. My work got me vouchers for Tiffany's so I plan to take a trip to Sloane Square real soon.

To top the day off Damien had arranged a surprise dinner in London for me at a lovely Tappa's Restaurant! Only we all forgot to bring our camera's so I don't have any to show. It was definately an eventful day and one I'll remember forever. Thanks to all for your well wishes and messages.

2007 HERE WE COME!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Can you believe it's crept up on us so quickly? 2007 is well and truly here and there is much to look forward to. New baby, new cousins, weddings, 30th birthdays it's going to be a good year! We had a quiet new years evening over here. Just watched a bit of telly and then off to bed. Just really spent some time together as a family.

Jock is getting better and Dominic is becoming far more familiar with him. Nathan is not frightened at all if anything he seeks Jock out to irritate him. Sometimes poor Jock will be sleeping on the floor and Nathan will come running at him and give him a great big ruby kick! We are teaching him about gentleness especially with animals and smaller children. Don't want him kicking his new baby brother when he arrives.

12 or so weeks until I am on maternity leave. Really looking forward to it. It will be great taking some time out to just be a mum!
