DOMINIC RIDING WITHOUT STABILIZERS

Well this is a day in history. After much despair and endless trips to the park our eldest champ has finally mastered riding his bike without stabilizers. Not without many tears I must add. He is now riding around all over the show getting more and more confident. As a reward we bought him a 'rainbow racer' basically a light you put in the wheel and it changes colours. Well the delight in getting this was amazing. He truly believes that this 'light' will make him ride faster. Damien and I are really proud of him. Nathan not to be outdone is riding just as furiously and also now wants his stabilizers off. I'll wait a while though don't think my patience level is high enough for this challenge yet!

Nathan turns 3

Well my little boy has turned 3. Gosh he is getting so big. We had his first big birthday party. Must be mad had 18 little kids running around our house. Bought the worlds largest and sweetest cake. Nathan had a ball and despite a few tears from a couple of kids the afternoon was a huge success. Cuan and Chantel then came over for dinner which was a nice end to a memorable day. The highlight of our day was when Nathan asked to do a pooh in the potty!!!! The joy was shortlived however as two days later he did a nice big turd on the floor upstairs and then slid down the stairs on his bottom wiping the remaining pooh onto the stairs. I thought Damien was going to commit murder...

Summer is here!

We're into the third week of school summer holidays and so far so good. The children are still alive despite pushing my patience to the absolute limit. Really proud of myself as well for managing to entertain them without spending too much money. I have to say that the UK really does have some amazing parks when you take the time to investigate them. Being doing loads of picnics as well so the boys really have been outdoors mostly. The SA Askew's were in the Berg recently. Was so nice to see all of them together. Wish we could have been there as well. Oh well perhaps next year we'll be able to join them. Dominic has made us really proud as he is now able to ride his bike without his training wheels on. What a big boy! Much love to Dad who was in hospital today having some kidney stones removed. Congratulations to mom on her wildlife walk four days walking must have been fab.
